88th Precinct Crime Statistics: Week Of January 4-10
Whereas last week (December 28-January 3) saw an increase in felony assaults and burglaries, this week, there was a decrease in felony assaults and an increase in burglaries and grand larcenies.
Overall, crime compared to last week, last month, and last year showed decent drops and only small increases. Hopefully we get more of this in 2016 than the higher crime that often comes with warmer weather.
The next 88th Precinct Community Council meeting will be Tuesday, January 19 at 7pm, location TBD.
The next meeting of the Public Service Area 3 (housing police) is Wednesday, February 3, at 585 DeKalb Avenue.
CompStat reports are produced by the New York Police Department on a weekly basis. We publish the week’s statistics for the 88th Precinct reports every week. The 88th Precinct is the police command that oversees Fort Greene and Clinton Hill.
