It was a good final week of May in the 88th Precinct, with crime falling across the board in almost all categories compared to both the previous week (May 15-24) and the same period last year.

Robberies dropped from 2 to 1, felony assaults from 3 to 2, burglaries from 3 to zero, grand larcenies from 6 to 4, and housing crimes from 1 to zero.

However, auto thefts went up from 1 to 2, petit larceny from 16 to 17, misdemeanor assaults from 3 to 7, and misdemeanor sex crimes from 0 to 1.

The next 88th Precinct Community Council meeting is Tuesday, June 16 at 7pm at the French Speaking Baptist Church, entrance at Vanderbilt and Willoughby Avenues.

CompStat reports are produced by the New York Police Department on a weekly basis. We publish the week’s statistics for the 88th Precinct reports every week. The 88th Precinct is the police command that oversees Fort Greene and Clinton Hill.
