This past week saw robbery reports continue to dwindle, dropping down to one incident (compared to three last week and seven the week before). Auto thefts also fell slightly, going from two reports last week to one report this week.

Also seeing a decrease in crime were the areas of transit (from 1 to 0), petit larceny (from 12 to 11), and misdemeanor assault (from 3 to 2).

However, there was a slight increase in reported felony assaults (up from 1 to 3) and grand larcenies (up from 4 to 5). Housing crimes went from 0 to 2, and misdemeanor sex crimes and shootings each saw one incident during the week — up from zero across the board.

Burglary rates remained at one report for the week, and for the third week in a row, there were no reported murders or rapes.

CompStat reports are produced by the New York Police Department on a weekly basis. We publish the week’s statistics for the 88th Precinct reports every week. The 88th Precinct is the police command that oversees Fort Greene and Clinton Hill.
