87-Year-Old Man Assaulted In Clinton Hill

[UPDATE: Wednesday, August 14, 2019 at 10:40am] Police have arrested 32-year-old Jaquan Wright of Bed-Stuy in connection with this incident and charged him with two counts of assault.

CLINTON HILL – After two suspects punched and robbed a 65-year-old man at the Clinton/Washington Ave A/C subway station earlier this month, the 88th Precinct, which serves Clinton Hill and Fort Greene, is now searching for the suspect seen in the below photo and video in connection with an assault on an 87-year-old last week.

At approximately 8:10am on Friday, August 9, police say the octogenarian was standing outside on Lexington Avenue near Grand when an unidentified man approached him from behind and kicked him, knocking him to the ground. The suspect then fled the scene. There was no exchange between the two men prior to the incident, according to police who say that the attack was unprovoked.

EMS transported the victim to NY-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital in serious but stable condition. He was treated for a broken arm and a cut to his head.
