FLATBUSH—An eight-story apartment building will soon replace a townhouse at 290 Linden Boulevard.

Permits have been filed with the Department of Buildings for an apartment building, which will stand 80 feet tall. Demolition permits paving the way for the project that will have 33 residential units were filed in May, though the building has not yet been torn down. The owner of the site is listed as Akiva Lichtman of development company Rodgers Builders, which plans to build a rental apartment building.

Located between Nostrand and New York Avenues and two blocks away from the Church Avenue 2 and 5 train station, the 28,371-square-foot building shows plans for ten below-grade parking spaces, a cellar and a small yard in the back of the building.

The home that currently occupies the site was built in 1910, according to Real Estate.com

Scibilia Thomas of N.A. Design Studio is the designer of the building, for which no completion date has yet been released.
