The cafe’s gate is down, and neighborhood regulars have started to leave flowers and notes in front of the building, to honor the memory of this longtime friend and proprietor of 7th Avenue.

  1. My favorite breakfast spot. Good food, great iced coffee, and you can read the NY Times while waiting.

  2. I never went in there as much as I should have, especially considering they served my favorite La Colombe coffee. Alex came out to say hi to our dog a couple of times. A big loss for the neighborhood.

  3. Alex will be sorely missed by many of us. He was such a sweet man. We hope Parco can keep going and continue to employ the anonymous woman who makes the best croissant in the whole neighborhood.
