Captain William Taylor and members of the NYPD’s 62nd Precinct will hold a crime prevention meeting for Bay Parkway merchants and other members of the Chinese American community next week.

The meeting will be held at the Asian Senior Daycare (6506 Bay Parkway), on Monday, May 11, at 2:30pm.

The event was organized in light of reports that groups of unruly teens are shoplifting and destroying property at Asian-owned stores on Bay Parkway and harassing seniors at Seth Low Park. Those who attend Monday’s meeting, which will have translators, will gain tips and strategies for dealing with these quality-of-life concerns.

The 62nd Precinct holds monthly meetings at the senior center to address complaints and concerns in Bensonhurst’s fast-growing Chinese American community.
