47-Year Old Man Killed By Unidentified Hit-And-Run Driver in East New York
A 47-year old Queens man died on September 23 after being struck by an SUV on Conduit Boulevard at Crescent Street in East New York, police said on Friday. The driver fled the scene, and remains on the lam.
Antonio Gonzalez, of Richmond Hill, Queens, died at Brookdale Hospital one day after being struck at Conduit and Crescent. Police said that Gonzalez was attempting to cross Conduit Boulevard at about 3:15 a.m. on September 22, when a driver in a Nissan SUV plowed into him and subsequently fled.
The impact left Gonzalez unconscious and with severe head trauma; he was rushed by ambulance to Brookdale where he died the next day.
Cops released the below surveillance footage of the vehicle involved in the hopes that the driver could be identified. No arrests have been made and an investigation is ongoing.
