4 Days Of Books! Popular Book Sale Returns To Park Slope

PARK SLOPE – The Park Slope United Methodist Church will host its 26th annual book sale from Thursday, February 21 through Sunday, February 24.

Each year, more than 10,000 new or gently-used books are sold during the four-day sale, many for just $1 or $2. Past attendees have found “cutting edge contemporary fiction, from Atwood and Adichie to Zadie Smith, as well as rare first editions by Emily Dickinson or John Ashbery,” a release for the sale states. Shoppers will also find an array of genres including mystery, romance, history, art books, children’s books, cookbooks, self-help and gardening guides.

There will also be an assortment of DVDs, CDs, vinyl records, sheet music, maps, and ephemera available to purchase.

The sale is free to the public on Saturday (Feb. 23) and Sunday (Feb. 24), however for bibliophiles who cannot wait, a Premium Preview will take place on Thursday (Feb. 21), offering first dibs on items for an admission fee of $25. A second preview will be held on Friday (Feb. 22) for $5 admission.

The Church will begin accepting donations for the sale starting Sunday, February 10. Gently-used books, CDs, DVDs, records, and games in excellent condition will be accepted.
