Brooklyn’s Inaugural Comic Con This Weekend A Smash! Pow! Hit! [Photos]
This past weekend Brooklyn saw its inaugural Comic Con take place in Fort Hamilton, with Marvel characters, Warriors look-a-likes and other cosplayers, graphic novel enthusiasts, and kindred comic spirits coming together at the borough’s western waterfront in celebration of all that is illustrated.
The event took place at the Fort Hamilton Community Club at 207 Sterling Drive and featured a variety of live panels, a Best Cosplay Costume contest, as well as vendors and artists galore.
In stark contrast to New York Comic Con — the self-anointed “largest pop culture event on the East Coast” — the Fort Hamilton gathering was quite intimate, with a much more local feel.
