Planned Greenpoint Development Increases Size
GREENPOINT – Another location on the North Brooklyn Waterfront is moving inexorably toward breaking ground, with the 30 Kent location behind Transmitter Park updating filings to expand the project’s scope.
The development project was previously known as either 13 Greenpoint or 26 Kent, and has been planned since 2016. It will now be more than 90,000 square feet, nearly 20,000 more than previously planned, reported YIMBY.
The new residential building will replace the familiar blue warehouses currently standing at 30 Kent, directly adjacent to Transmitter Park. The 11-story building will enjoy an unobstructed view across the park to the water, which would serve some tenants of the reported 80 units quite well.
30 Kent will feature ground-floor retail space—about 3,000 square feet—along with parking for 37 cars and storage for 40 bicycles. It is being designed by Kutnicki Bernstein Architects for developers Greenpoint Partners LLC.
