It was a gruesome scene Tuesday morning in Sunset Park when a drunk man fighting another threw a glass bottle, hitting a toddler above his eye and left him bleeding heavily during a street brawl, police said.

The 3-year-old boy, Alex Li, was with his mother and sister when the glass bottle sliced him above his right eye on the corner of Fifth Avenue and 60th Street at around 9 a.m. police said.

Witnesses said the boy started screaming, and then his mother cried frantically while holding a napkin above her son’s head to stop the bleeding.

Police said the two men were arguing inside the Gold Star Supermarket when the fight broke out onto the street,  and one of them threw a glass bottle missing their target.

“My sister was just taking her daughter to school. This is terrible,” Hui-Ying Chen, the child’s aunt told the New York Post.

Police said the boy was not an intended target and was rushed to Lutheran Hospital where he is being treated for minor injuries.

Cops are hunting for the man who threw the bottle and are questioning the other man involved in the street brawl, police said.
