A Child Grows in Brooklyn just got a tip from NYC School Help’s Joyce Szuflita, encyclopedia of all things Brooklyn education:
PS 295 in District 15, Greenwood Heights/South Slope has some seats available in their 2nd grade for fall of 2012. They are trying to maintain their 3 small classes at that grade rather than being forced by the DOE into having two larger classes. A few more students will make their numbers work.
The arts-focused elementary just got the stamp of approval from the New York Observer’s annual school rankings (#20 Public Elementary, plus “Best PTA Events”), and InsideSchools has virtually nothing but raves (their main complaints: the gym is too small, the layout is weird).
