New Banh Mi Place To Open Next to Leaf and Bean
The NYT explains it all.
A new banh mi place is slated to open in the empty storefront next to the new Leaf and Bean at Lincoln and 7th, says Here’s Park Slope.
Not that we have a shortage of them — the hood’s already got Hanco’s, Henry’s, Home, and Lotus — but a good sandwich is hard to argue with, and the new joint will have the southeast corner of the Slope pretty much to itself. (HPS also points out that Berkeley Carroll’s right across the street, giving them access to the school lunch crowd.)
In honor of the news, we’re busy re-listening to the old This American Life episode about the scandalous Henry’s/Hanco’s war of ’09.
