The beer should be plentiful in the next few weeks.

Owner Jason Roberts of 209 Station (209 Prospect Park West, between 16th Street and Bartel-Pritchard Square) was working away at organizing his new store. “It’s going to be beer-centered,” he said.

Roberts was happy to greet us as we passed by, and even gave us a look at one of his beers.

In addition to beer, 209 Station will be selling sandwiches, cheese, dips, and spreads.

Roberts named the new business after 209 Stationery, a nod to the name of the previous store. According to DNAinfo, “Roberts is the son-in-law of Jimmy and Sue Yi, the couple who ran the candy and newspaper shop that occupied the same space at 209 Prospect Park West, until last spring.”

Plus, 209 Station is looking for employees. You can send them your resume at 209station@gmail.com.
