PROSPECT PARK – Last June, in honor of the Park’s 150th anniversary, the Prospect Park Alliance hosted the first ever Prospect Park Soiree, an event for “thousands of friends and neighbors to get together as a community and celebrate the Park,” according to Deborah Kirschner, AVP of Marketing for the Alliance.
Following the success of the debut soiree, they’re doing it again this year on Saturday, June 23. Tickets just went on sale today!
Like last year’s party, thousands of festively dressed attendees will gather on the Peninsula at Prospect Park where they’ll dine and dance in Brooklyn’s Backyard. The Alliance will provide the setting (tables and chairs) and the entertainment (lawn games, bands, and a DJ) while guests bring their own packed meals and wine/beer (no hard alcohol) for a perfect picnic under the stars.
The Alliance encourages guests to get creative by wearing a show-stopping hat or stylish headpiece and bringing festive décor for their tables.
Proceeds benefit the Alliance’s mission to sustain, restore, and advance Prospect Park. Individual tickets are priced at $45. Table packages for parties of ten ($450) receive two complimentary bottles of wine.
Visit Prospect Park Alliance’s website for more information and to purchase tickets. Sorry kids—all attendees must be 21 and over.
