$2,000 Reward Offered For Info Leading To Arrest Of Gunpoint Robbery Suspect
Police have upped the ante in the hunt for a suspect behind a gunpoint robbery in Homecrest last month, offering $2,000 for information leading to his arrest and indictment.
The suspect, described as a black male with a skinny build, between 18 and 25 years old, allegedly lured his victim to 1600 Avenue T, where he and an accomplice pulled a gun and stole the victim’s iPhone.
As we reported earlier this month, the incident took place on January 28. The suspects answered a Craiglist ad offering an iPhone for sale. When the victim arrived in front of the building and met one of the suspects, the other approached from behind, displayed a gun and took the phone.
The accomplice has been apprehended, according to police.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS (8477). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website, or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) and entering TIP577.
