At approximately 4:25am Saturday, September 16, the NYPD report that a man was shot in front of 790 Franklin Avenue.

EMS transported the victim to Kings County Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The New York Daily News posted surveillance video on Saturday of the victim, whose name the paper reports is Donovan Frazier, standing at the door of Franklin Finest Deli, located on the corner of Lincoln Place. The victim is seen running back into the store followed by multiple shots fired through the shop’s window while store employees take cover and a man behind the counter reaches for a telephone.

Frazier was shot multiple times in the chest and stomach, according to the Daily News.

The manager of the deli, Ghamdan Obayah, told the New York Post that Frazier was a “regular customer who lives in the neighborhood.” The paper says Obayah was working behind the counter when Frazier came into the store to buy a ginger ale.

A police representative said there are currently no details or descriptions available of the suspect/s and no arrests have been made yet.
