15th St. Cafe Opens On 5th Avenue
15th St. Cafe (557 5th Avenue) opened its doors on Tuesday, so we decided to stop in for an iced coffee (because it’s 65 degrees outside right now…hello spring).
The large iced mocha ($4.75) was delicious, and far superior to the offerings from predecessor Kahawa Cafe.
Manager Jaqueline Begnal (shown above) tells us that the cafe offers free wifi (score), and that they’re hoping to introduce music or story time sessions in the coming months.
The layout is almost identical to the setup of Kahawa Cafe, so there is ample seating throughout the dining area.
There are a number of Balthazar pastries to choose from, but if you’re looking for a pro tip, head straight for the chocolate eclairs ($3.25).
Made to order sandwiches are also available, and range in price from $4 to $7.
15th St. Cafe hours are 8am to 8pm, 7 days a week, so be sure to stop by and welcome Jaqueline to the neighborhood.
