Presidents’ week mid-winter recess is fast approaching. We’ve found 14 Brooklyn camps that still have spots available and are sure to be tons of fun.
ArtsBarking Cat Studio

Artists use the city as inspiration. In the afternoon artists rejoin at the studio to relax with yoga.
Brooklyn Arts Exchange

Artists can pick their specialty — theater, dance, circus, or music — to explore historical and modern aspects of art.
Creative Arts Studio

The mid-winter program is four days, Tuesday to Friday, allowing for the family to have a long weekend get-away. Art and science meld beautifully, and during the week artists will take a field trip to the NY Hall of Science.
Spoke the Hub

Campers will use the process of democracy to inspire their dance and art.
Textile Arts Center

The Textile Arts Center offers day classes or a week-long program. Each weekday artists focus on a different textile craft. You can sign up for April break camps now as well.

Geologists unite! Recreate Earth’s many natural disasters: volcanoes! tornados! And unearth precious gems and fossils.
Brooklyn Robot Foundry

Ages 7-10
Last year campers created Frankenstein! The Robot Foundry insisted on calling it the less fearsome name of Rube Goldberg (check out the video above) but call it what you may, last year the machine took 72 steps! Perhaps this year’s scientists can top that?
Prospect Park Zoo

Mid-winter mini-camp is 2-days, and hands-on activities including live animal encounters, crafts, and more.
Juguemos a Cantar

Ages 3-10
It’s likely that the only people who sign up for Juguemos mini-camp are already affiliated with the program, but don’t let that stop you. The best way to learn a language is full immersion. Half- and full-day camps are available.
Shorefront Y Day Camp

Shorefront Y is offering a fun filled week of activities, or campers can attend just a single day. If your camper enjoys the week, sign up for the summer camp.

Campers can register for one day or for a whole week of ice skating, dance, rock climbing, and more. Lunch and snack are included.
Urban Martial Arts

This is the only camp that promotes their board-breaking contest. Other activities include a nerf gun war and dodge ball. Good old-fashioned fun!
