Woman Stabbed And Killed In 65th Street Apartment, Boyfriend Confesses To Ex-Wife, Police
According to the Daily News a woman was “left to die” in the bathtub of a 65th Street Apartment by boyfriend Brian Sohtz, who afterward called his ex-wife and admitted to the crime. Sohtz later confessed to detectives from the 62nd Precinct. The victim Daniella Mannino, who leaves behind a 12-year-old daughter, was found dead in the bathtub of the boyfriend’s 65th Street apartment.
After allegedly murdering Mannino, Sohtz called his ex-wife, who lives on Long Island and told her Mannino was “probably dead.” Sohtz’s ex-wife then called Suffolk County Police, who in turn notified the 62nd precinct. According to the article, Sohtz is a transit dispatcher with a prior arrest for menacing and criminal possession of a weapon. The Daily News also reports that Daniella Mannino, who lived around the corner from Sohtz on 19th Avenue, was a loving mother and well liked by her neighbors. Her father works for the Brooklyn district attorney’s office.
