Unlimited Rides At Luna Park’s Kick-Off Party For New Space-Themed Attraction
Update [April 26, 6pm]: Due to forecasted thundershowers, this event has been rescheduled for Friday, May 13.
Luna park’s space-themed thrill ride, the Endeavor, will open next week — and the amusement park is throwing a party with music, glow sticks, an alien flash mob, and unlimited rides on the new attraction.
The Endeavor, based off the classic ride named after Star Trek’s Enterprise, which debuted in 1972, seats up to 24 people. It is designed to spin passengers around in open-air suspended vehicles, which turn upside down, at 25 miles per hour and tilts 90 degrees parallel to the ground, according to a Luna Park press release.
“Endeavor creates an out-of-this-galaxy experience,” Valerio Ferrari, president of Central Amusement International and Zamperla USA, said in a press release. “By using the most advanced technology, we were able to design a ride that gives adventurous visitors to Luna Park a breathtaking experience.”
The Endeavor made a brief appearance in Coney Island at the tail end of the last season. However, next Thursday, April 28, will be the ride’s official debut. To see how it looked on it’s first visit to Luna Park, check out the video below.
The “Cosmic Kick-Off party” celebrating the new ride will take place at 7:30pm. Besides the Endeavor, you’ll also get unlimited rides on the Luna Park Raceway, as well as the music, dancing and fun!
Tickets cost $20 and can be purchased here.
