SHEEPSHEAD BAY – A 70-year old man who was struck by a car on Nostrand Avenue earlier this month succumbed to his injuries and died in the hospital over the weekend.

Stewart Feldman was walking mid-block about 300 feet south of Avenue R, outside his residence, just before 7:00 am on Tuesday, December 12, when a northbound driver in a Hyundai Accent struck him, said police. EMS transported Feldman to Kings County Hospital in stable condition, said police.

The 74-year old driver of the vehicle stayed on scene and the Collision Investigation Squad is conducting an investigation, though no arrests have been made.

Feldman is one of three Brooklyn seniors that were killed while crossing the street since mid-November: Judith Holmes, 74, was struck by a car crossing 86th Street in Gravesend, while Allen William Diaz, 63, was struck on Flatlands Avenue in Canarsie.
