Annual Plant Sale at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden Is This Week
Plant Sale

Head’s up, gardeners: The annual Brooklyn Botanic Garden plant sale starts today with special members-only hours from 4:30-8pm (and you can purchase a membership at the sale). Then it’s open to the general public Wednesday from 9am to 8pm, and Thursday 9am to 12pm.

It’s a huge sale with a wide variety of plants, and a special emphasis on native plants. Here’s what you’ll find:

Every kind of plant, both for indoors and outdoors: annuals, perennials, small trees and shrubs, roses, herbs, vegetables, all kinds of tomatoes, houseplants, orchids, hanging baskets–and more. Plants are the best quality at the best prices: unusually choice specimens, many rare varieties and native plants, handpicked and selected.

The special entrance and pickup gate for the plant sale is located on Flatbush Avenue between the Brooklyn Public Library and the Prospect Park Zoo. For more info, visit the BBG website.
