Two employees of the Famous Deli & Grocery at 783 Hicks Street in Red Hook were shot by a customer Tuesday morning, the NYPD report.
At 8:40am on Tuesday, April 18, two workers tried escorting a man out of the store. He pulled out a firearm and shot one 33-year-old man in the back and his 52-year-old coworker in the torso, according to DNA Info.
It is unclear why they were trying to remove the suspect from the store.
The 33-year-old victim was taken to Lutheran Hospital where he is in serious/critical condition while the 52-year-old victim was taken to Methodist Hospital where he is expected to recover from his injuries, police said.
The suspect, 41-year-old Harry Austin of Bed-Stuy, was arrested nearby, police told BKLYNER.
