Two Cars Crash on Newkirk Avenue

Two cars were involved in an accident this morning at about 7 a.m. in front of Rite Aid Pharmacy on Newkirk Avenue. The car pictured above crashed into a parking meter which, a neighbor says, may have prevented it from crashing into Rite Aid itself. A pick up truck smashed into a tree on the south side of the street (pictured below) but suffered considerably less damage than its smaller counterpart.

Up to 45 minutes later, there were no ambulances on the scene and it appeared that no one was injured.
