Two Car Crash on Foster and Rugby in Early Morning

Two cars crashed into each other early this morning on Foster Avenue and Rugby Road at about 4:30 a.m.

A livery cab carrying one passenger in the back seat crashed into another car, said an eyewitness. Within just a few minutes, several police cars and ambulances were on the scene. The cab’s passenger was taken away in an ambulance unable to walk, according to the eyewitness. Despite the time of the accident, over a dozen people walked by the crash within ten minutes.

The eyewitness was standing half a block away when the accident happened and relayed this version of events: The livery cab drove through a red light traveling south on Rugby Road as the other car traveled on Rugby Road. When the two crashed, there was a very loud bang. The fate of the drivers is unknown at this time.

The vehicles were driven towards the southwest corner of the intersection where they sat heavily damaged for at least a half hour. The lights and signs at the intersection were left unscathed by just a few inches.
