Traffic Dispute Turns Into Gunpoint Robbery in Bed-Stuy
BED-STUY – Police are looking for two men in connection with a gunpoint robbery that took place the night of Saturday, August 12.
A verbal dispute between three men involved in a minor traffic accident took a serious turn when one of the men flashed a gun before he and a friend forced their victim into a nearby deli, said police. Inside Miraflores Deli, at 45 Rockaway Ave, they made the 53-year old victim withdraw $440 from an ATM.
The two men then fled in an unknown direction, said police. The suspects can be seen in photos taken from security footage in the deli below:
According to police, the first suspect, who brandished the weapon, is a black man in his 20s, 6’1” and 180 lbs, last seen wearing a white t-shirt and white sneakers. Police described his accomplice as a black man in his 20s as well, 6’0” and 180 lbs, last seen wearing a black t-shirt with white lettering on the front and side, black and white sneakers, and seen with a motorcycle helmet.
