The police were called to the Nostrand Houses on this dark and rainy Monday afternoon at around 4:30pm because a toy gun was mistaken for a real one.

A reader of ours reached out about a possible shooting, but when we arrived at the scene, the police were finishing up and said it was merely a toy gun. No arrests were made, according to police.

Information regarding the 911 call that brought police to the scene is unavailable right now, according to DCPI.
