To Do This Weekend: The NOT Siren Fest Show
Maybe the folks at Coney Island bar Peggy O’Neills (1904 Surf Avenue) have had enough of the Siren Festival bands making all the noise. This Saturday, July 21, they’re holding the “Not the Siren Fest” show featuring bands of their choosing.
One band in particular hails straight out of Southern Brooklyn.
“Toys In Trouble” are “dirty dance rock with a mix of fight pop,” says their keys and bass player Mike Strachan.
The rest of the band includes Kevin Bova, who made the fancy graphic above, on vocals, bass, and guitar; Jim Twerell on vocals and guitar; and Matt Guzda on drums and vocals.
There are a bunch of other bands playing and it’s totally free, so no real reason not to go. Show starts at 8 p.m.
