This Week’s F & G Subway Changes

This Week’s F & G Subway Changes
G train

Ah, Monday. A whole new week of subway challenges awaits us! Remember, no G trains are running north of Nassau Avenue for basically forever, and other changes you’ll need to know about this week, via the MTA:

No G train service north of Nassau Avenue
All times, until 5am Tuesday, September 2
The G is only running between Church and Nassau avenues to allow for the reconstruction of tunnels damaged during Hurricane Sandy. This means that at all times, trains will not be running to or from Greenpoint, 21st Street, and Court Square reconstruction of tunnelin Long Island City. Free shuttle buses will provide alternate service. For more information about transfers, go here.
Coney Island-bound F trains skip Sutphin Boulevard, Van Wyck Boulevard, and 75th Avenue
Late nights, 11:45pm to 5am, Monday to Friday, July 28-August 1
For service to Supthin Boulevard, take the F to Union Turnpike and transfer to a Jamaica-bound F. For service to Van Wyck Boulevard, take the F to Union Turnpike and transfer to a Jamaica Center-bound E or Jamaica-bound F. For service from these stations, take the F to Parsons Boulevard and transfer to a Coney Island-bound F. For 75th Avenue, take the E. Transfer between trains at Union Turnpike or 71st Avenue.

Remember, the subways can be one big ball of surprises, so be sure to check the MTA’s website before heading out.
