This Month in Ditmas Park

It’s been a very busy month here on our new site! Before we head into April, take a look back at some of the stories you may have missed about the neighborhood and the great people who live here:

• Six neighbors shared their favorite corners in Ditmas Park.

• Newkirk news: Newkirk Cares Collaborative is beautifying the street, while Leon Kogut celebrates 100 years of beautifying people with a nice haircut.

• The Open Corner featured awesome artist and neighbor Emma Assin.

• Five local artists talked about their Uncover Church Avenue murals.

• It will take the whole neighborhood to fix Coney Island Avenue.

• Do you know your new congressional district?

Louie was one of several TV shows filmed in Ditmas Park this month.

• Tree news: a map and slideshow of trees in bloom, and street trees removed from Stratford Road.

• History is alive in our street signs and on our sidewalks.

• Neighbors are getting their gardens ready for planting.

Coffee the Train Man was arrested–anyone seen him this week?

• Two clowns (literally) make tinyDANGEROUSfun at Sycamore.

• And finally, bees!
