The Greenmarket Report: Latkes and Applesauce

Get into the Hanukkah spirit at today’s Grand Army Plaza Greenmarket, where, rain or shine, they will be frying up latkes and enjoying them with market-made applesauce and creme fraiche. Visit the info tent starting at 11am for a taste.

Also remember to pick up your Christmas trees and other holiday greens, which will be on sale at the market through December 22.

You can also pick up the ingredients for your latkes tomorrow at the Park Slope Farmers Market, where famers will have potatoes, onions, eggs, apples, and more. Anyone have a favorite recipe to share so we know what to buy?

The GAP Greenmarket runs Saturdays from 8am-4pm at Grand Army Plaza. The Park Slope Farmers Market runs Sundays from 10am-4pm along 4th Street at 5th Ave.
