Spielberg’s “St. James Place” Filming In The Area On Friday
Ready for a little star spotting? Steven Spielberg’s St. James Place, starring Tom Hanks, Amy Ryan, Eve Hewson, and Alan Alda, is scheduled to film in the neighborhood on Friday, September 19, from 6am to 10pm.
The spy drama, which spent the last few weeks in Dumbo, is based on the life of James Donovan (Hanks), who according to Variety, “was the American attorney enlisted by the CIA during the Cold War to surreptitiously negotiate the 1962 release of Francis Gary Powers, the U-2 spy plane pilot who was shot down over Russia two years earlier.”
Cars parked on the the following streets will need to be moved by Thursday, September 18 at 10pm:
- West side of Prospect Park West (between 10th and 14th Streets)
- East side of 8th Avenue (between 11th and 13th Streets)
- Both sides of 12th Street (between 8th Avenue and Prospect Park West)
- South side of 13th Street (between 8th Avenue and Prospect Park West)
