Senator Martin J. Golden Announces New Dyker Heights Traffic Light Installation
State Senator Marty Golden announced that a traffic light will be installed by July 31st at the intersection of 10th Avenue and 70th Street. Residents, drivers and pedestrians can breathe a sigh of relief as the busy 4-way intersection will now be a safer place to cross.
“Whenever a complaint about a busy street or intersection comes to our attention, we work with the Department of Transportation to investigate…Based on criteria such as busyness of traffic and speed limits, this traffic light was approved. We hope this prevents any accidents or injuries to pedestrians in the future,” said John Quaglione, spokesperson for Golden’s office.
If residents believe that a street or intersection is unsafe, Quaglione encourages them to contact Senator Golden’s office at 718-238-6044.
