Photo Of The Day: White Squirrel In Fall
White Squirrel by Nathan Anderson

“I was just in the park and noticed this little guy – not everyday you see an albino or possibly white squirrel in Prospect Park, not to mention any park,” writes Nathan Anderson, who shares this photo. “He lives near the bandshell at 9th St.”

In fact, this little fella is something of a regular around the park, but it’s been a while since we’ve had a spotting — a neighbor shared a photo last winter, and we personally spotted him a couple months ago, though he was too fast for our camera. Though who knows, a squirrel’s life expectancy is only about a year, so maybe there are more than one?
