Pet Spotlight: Royal the Pit Bull Boxer Mix

Name: Royal

Age: 3 and a half

Breed: Pit bull and boxer mix

Katie Dinota, 26 and her husband Adam Linsalata, 27, adopted Royal when she was one year old from the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty of Animals in Boston, while they were attending grad school at Boston University.

Since then, they’ve taught Royal how to roll over, jump and shake paws. But they haven’t quite managed to cure Royal’s fear of people playing guitars.

“Adam has a ukelele in the apartment and when he plays it, she completely freaks out,” Dinota-Linsalata said.
