Open House at the YMCA on Sunday
It is that time of the year when it is too cold outside to linger at the playground, running is relegated to the hard core, and exercise options move indoors. We are lucky to have two Y’s within a few blocks of each other, the Prospect Park branch at 357 9th Street, and the Armory at 361 15th Street. The South Slope Armory has a huge selection of classes and activities to choose from, and take it from a mom with an active toddler, the open play gym is an invaluable option during the height of winter. There is no doubt that it saved us from going monster stir crazy last year.
Interested? Both branches will be holding an open house on Saturday, from 12pm to 4pm, to answer any questions you might have about membership, and if you join through February 4th, there is no joiner’s fee (normally $121).
