NYPD Traffic Agent Arrested For Groping Same Woman Twice On R Train
An NYPD traffic agent was arrested in Coney Island Tuesday for twice groping the same 29-year-old woman on the R train, according to police.
David Cronin, 57, was taken into custody around 3pm at the corner of Surf Avenue and Stillwell Avenue, according to police. It was unclear if the traffic cop was on the job at the time of his arrest.
A woman reported that Cronin groped her both times on the southbound R train near 4th Avenue and Pacific Street. The incidents occurred on December 28 and June 9, police say.
A source told the Daily News the woman did not know Cronin and he was arrested after someone recognized him in a wanted poster.
Cronin was charged with two counts of forcible touching, according to police.
