Midwood Resident Crashes Private Plane In New Jersey
Midwood resident Chaim Masri, 46, crashed a single-engine Cesna Model 172 after touching down at a Fairfield, New Jersey, airport on Monday evening.
Masri brought the small plane in for a landing at Essex County Airport just before 7:00 p.m. When the plane hit the runway, it veered off path, hit a snow bank and flipped over.
Masri suffered a minor injury to his leg, but declined medical attention, reports the Star-Ledger.
The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating. It’s unclear if Masri was the owner of the aircraft.
