The Fort Greene-Clinton Hill Senior Resource Fair is hosted and organized by the Myrtle Avenue Revitalization Project (MARP) and their Senior Advisory Council.
“We want to serve as a model for other BIDs looking to better engage their older adult neighbors,” explained MARP Executive Director Meredith Phillips Almeida. “We have a responsibility to keep the needs of local seniors on our radar, in order to best serve the whole community. We hope this resource fair will be the launch point for more programs and events for local seniors.”
Councilmember Laurie Cumbo also praised the organizers, describing the Senior Resource Fair as “a testament of MARP’s unwavering commitment to connect local residents with small businesses and nonprofits that will provide a wealth of programs and services to address their specific needs. . . When we invest in our seniors, we are supporting the vitality and sustainability of our city.”
