Local Photographer’s Photos in BBG Ads

When you see the new spring series of ads for the Brooklyn Botanic Garden in the subway, on the sides of buses, and in some outdoor locations like phone booths, take a closer look–you’re seeing the photography of neighbor Antonio M. Rosario. His photos of the BBG are fantastic, and you can see more of them on his site.

As for the BBG, now’s a good time to visit to see the Cranford Rose Garden, which is in full bloom. “They’ll stay in bloom for about three or four more weeks, though. Then the whole garden will take bit of a rest in July and August, and then the repeaters will bloom once more in September,” says Sarah Owens, curator, on the BBG site. “That second flush won’t be quite like this, though it will still be pretty nice.”
