An area food pantry is asking for assistance from our community.

Donations of non-perishable food items like cans of tuna fish, pasta sauce, and boxes of cereal are needed this week by the food pantry at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church in Windsor Terrace.

The church’s non-denominational food pantry currently serves about sixty families, and is dependent on community donations.

You can drop food donations off in the front section of the church, which is usually open until 6pm, or bring them to the church’s rectory.

Holy Name of Jesus Church is located at 245 Prospect Park West, between Windsor Place and Prospect Avenue.

Holy Name of Jesus’ food pantry will be distributing the food from 2pm to 3pm this coming Saturday (February 20th), and on March 5th and March 19th. Access to the distribution point is through the church’s back parking lot.
