Local Artist Launches Library Mural Kickstarter Campaign

Artist and neighbor Kathryne Hall has launched a Kickstarter campaign for the Tumble mural she’s got planned for the Cortelyou Library. She’s looking to raise $6,500, which will go toward painting supplies and installation help from Colossal Media Group, supplies for the opening party, and the removal of the mural at the end of the summer.

The Kickstarter is running through June 11, but the free opening party is already scheduled for June 9 from 1-4pm at the library. Stop by to learn about public art, talk to the artist, write or draw your responses to the mural, and hear some local bands and performers. Kathryne will also be giving at short talk at 3:30pm.
