LARK Cafe announced Thursday night that it will be closed for the next few days for some “sprucing up,” but not to worry — the cafe will reopen on Tuesday.

According to LARK’s Facebook page,

We were visited by the DOH today (gasp…of ALL days) and we had to close in order to remedy a fruit fly issue. Over the next few days, we will be fogging the heck out of those little buggers. On a lighter note, we got a brand-spanking new refrigerated display case! On a darker note- it blew out our entire electrical panel. Nothing works. So we will be rebuilding and updating our electrics over the next couple of days.

Since the cafe has to be closed to handle the fruit flies and electrical problems, they decided to do some other sprucing up as well. They say they will be painting and fixing some things that have been neglected since they opened three years ago.

If you are looking for somewhere else to hang out this weekend, they recommend checking out their sister cafe ELK located at 154 Prospect Park Southwest, which just got a beer and wine license.
