Konstantino’s To Open Within The Next Several Days

We stopped into Konstantino’s Crepe et la Vie (1715 Foster Ave. between E 17th and E 18th Sts.) earlier this week for a look at the space’s latest renovations.  The cafe, designed to echo the look of Normandy restaurants in the early 20th century, is nearly finished, and should be having a soft opening in the next week or so.

Konstantino told us the soft opening will feature a selection of crepes and huge French presses full of coffee for less than many local sit-down establishments charge for a takeaway cup. The cafe will open around 10am, offer WiFi, have brunch on weekends, and will be a BYOB establishment in the beginning, perhaps getting a beer and wine license later down the line.

The eventual full menu will have about five sweet and five savory standard crepes, as well as a few rotating options, muffins, and classic French food including croque-monsieur and croque-madame sandwiches. In addition to the antique jewelry we told you about in February, the shop will also feature Greek food staples like special flour, oils, and lentils.

Konstantino said a number of neighbors have stopped by in anticipation of the restaurant’s opening. So don’t worry, Ditmas Parkers–you’ll have your crepes soon!
