Go Nuts For Donuts On National Donut Day June 7
In “Best Food Holiday Week Ever” news, National Donut Day is this Friday, June 7. The holiday was created by the Salvation Army in 1938 to honor women who served soldiers donuts during WWI, and now we’re lucky enough to reap the benefits!
Dunkin’ Donuts will be giving away a free donut with every drink purchase on Friday, and neighbors who work near Madison Square Park can stop by for free coffee, donuts, and a possible photo op with a 6′ tall Entenmann’s box.
Whether you’re a DD regular or prefer something a little different, here are some great places to get donuts in Ditmas Park:
Lark (1007 Church Ave. between E 10th and E 11th Sts.)- John’s Bakery (1322 Cortelyou Rd. on the corner of Rugby Rd.)
- Dunkin’ Donuts (1700 Church Ave. between E 17th and E 18th Sts.)
- Dunkin’ Donuts (1506 Cortelyou Rd. between Marlborough Rd. and E 16th St.)
- Dunkin’ Donuts (10 Newkirk Plaza)
- Dunkin’ Donuts (418 Coney Island Ave. between Caton Ave. and Friel Pl.)
- Dunkin’ Donuts (906 Coney Island Ave. on the corner of Ditmas Ave.)
Are we missing anywhere? Let us know, and we’ll update the list to make sure everyone’s Donut Day is (w)hole.
