A Borough Park resident has turned himself in for tossing a Molotov cocktail into a Fort Hamilton Parkway bodega.

The Brooklyn Daily reported on Friday that the man, who lives on 37th street, “faces charges of attempted murder, assault, arson, and criminal possession of a weapon after allegedly setting the corner store — and the cashier — ablaze in retaliation for being denied store credit.”

Asif Butt was working that morning at the 24-hour mini-mart when a man came in asking for credit on a few items he wanted to buy. Butt refused to give him store credit so the man left and gave Butt the middle-finger.

The man returned about half an hour later armed with the cocktail and threw it into the shop. Luckily, Butt only received minor injuries.
