“Fort Greene Deli 2” Opens At Myrtle And Washington Park

A local family is springing forward with the grand opening of their second deli in the neighborhood.

The Aljomie family opened Fort Greene Deli 2 this past Thursday, April 2, at Myrtle Avenue and Washington Park — just over a block away from their first, 2010 flagship on Park Avenue. Explaining their new location, the family said they “like the area” and “hope to keep expanding” in the future.

The new location has the usual range of cold drinks and snacks, as well as a sandwich counter and a variety of colorful cold salads. The space is really airy, though, with plenty of aisle walking room, which helps it stand out from some other deli-convenience stores.
