Fire At 543 E 21st St., Suspect In Custody

The FDNY is currently working to extinguish a fire on the fifth floor of a six story apartment building at 543 E. 21st St. between Ditmas and Dorchester Aves. A third floor resident says he only knew there was a fire because a neighbor was going door to door telling people to get out.
The FDNY Press says call came in at 2:51pm, and there are no reported injuries as of this time. We will keep you updated as soon as we have more information.
UPDATE: The fire was declared under control at 3:46pm, and no injuries were reported.

UPDATE 5:04 PM: Police have a suspect in custody who they believe may be responsible for the fire.
